The Slowinski National Park is located in the middle part of the Polish Baltic Sea coast. The greatest attraction of this National Park are the moving sand dunes. Unique in all of Europe and remarkable for their persistence and height! These coastal mountains are surrounded by the sea on one side with dune-locked lakes and forests on the other. The largest dunes can rise up to 42 meters above sea level. Today, the park is a protected World Biosphere Reserve inhabited by rare birds and fish who make a home in the ever changing marshy woodlands around the sandy hills.
