Gdansk by kayak tours – Departure Location

This is where you will meet your guide and begin your trip. Look out for red shipping containers, the red kayaks and your kayaking guide at Dokowa street (pass by the yacht club and head towards the white dome tent – we are right there).

Please arrive 5 minutes before before the start time.

What we provide

We provide all necessary kayaking equipment, including stable double kayak, together with a buoyancy aid, spray skirt and a dry bag for the things you want to bring along.

What to wear

Wear comfortable sports clothes and shoes suitable for paddling and adjusted to the weather.

What you need to bring

• waterproof/wind stopper jacket
• water bottle
• change of clothes in case of getting wet
• sunglasses

Facilities

• There are toilets available in our meeting point.
• You have the possibility to store your luggage, and belongings for free at the center during your kayaking tour.
• Shower is available at the yacht club.

English commentary

If not mentioned otherwise, all our trips are English speaking. You must have a basic understanding of English in order to follow our guides’ safety instructions.

Prerequisites

For most of our tours you don’t need to have previous kayaking experience. We ask that all participants are able to swim and have a reasonable level of fitness. Weight limit, 110 kilo per person.

Alcohol

Alcohol drinking is not permitted before or during your trip. Anyone who is drinking or appears to be even slightly intoxicated before the trip will be denied participation. Refunds or alternate dates will not be given.

How fit do I need to be?

Most of our kayaking tours are suitable for beginner kayakers. You do not need to be an athlete but some basic physical fitness is required for the trip to be enjoyable and fun. Our pace depends on the group, but we generally take our time. You should be happy to spend up to few hours paddling to keep up with the group.

What if the weather is bad?

Your safety is our priority. Strong winds and thunderstorm can cause us to cancel kayaking trips from time to time. In that case you can re-schedule your tour or we will give you a full refund. Rain is no reason to cancel and all trips will proceed as normal; just be prepared with rain jacket.

Can I rent a kayak?

Due to safety we don’t offer kayak rental.

What happens if I capsize?

Capsizes are fairly rare as our double kayaks are very stable. However, if you do capsize, your guide will be close by to help you back into your kayak quickly.
