These Terms of Service define the rules for participating in kayak tours organized by the FORREST Foundation, operating under the brand “Around Gdańsk”, via the website www.aroundgdansk.pl.
By making a booking and participating in a tour, you agree to these terms.
Bookings and Payments
Bookings can be made online through the system available at www.aroundgdansk.pl.
For larger private or corporate groups, we can customize the booking terms – just contact us via email: hello@aroundgdansk.pl
Payment is required in full at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your booking for a full refund if you notify us:
At least 24 hours before the tour starts – for public tours booked via the website.
At least 3 days before the tour – for private and corporate groups up to 20 people.
At least 7 days before the tour – for private and corporate groups over 20 people.
– After these deadlines, no refunds are given.
Tours take place rain or shine. If you are not comfortable with the weather forecast, it is your responsibility to cancel your booking on time according to our cancellation policy. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made too late due to weather concerns.
We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances such as:
Strong wind
Heavy rain or fog reducing visibility
Thunderstorm risk
Guide illness when no substitute is available
– In such cases, you will receive a full refund.
The decision to cancel a tour due to weather is made by the guide in charge.
Participation Rules
Public tours are for participants aged 12 and up. No age limit for private tours.
Each kayak must include at least one adult.
Minors can take part in the tour only under the care of an adult, who takes full responsibility for their safety.
You must speak English or Polish (depending on the tour language) at a basic communication level.
Alcohol, drugs, and any intoxicating substances are strictly forbidden before and during the tour.
Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is not allowed.
Maximum weight per participant is 110 kg.
Tours start on time. Late arrivals won’t be admitted, and no refunds will be issued. Arrive at the starting point at least 10 minutes early for check-in.

You must be able to swim
The tour instructor has the right to exclude any participant who fails to comply with the Terms and Conditions, safety instructions, or behaves in a way that endangers themselves, others, or the smooth conduct of the tour. In such cases, no refund will be given. The instructor’s decision is final.
Liability
Tours take place on port waters with regular boat traffic. Participation is at your own risk.
You must follow local waterway regulations and environmental protection laws.
The organizer is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages caused by failure to follow these terms or the guide’s instructions.
Protect your valuables from water damage or loss. We’re not liable for any lost or damaged items during the tour.
Lockers are available at the dock to store your personal items. Items left in lockers are your responsibility.
You are responsible for any harm or damage caused during the activity, whether to third parties, their property, or to the Organizer’s equipment. This includes any damage resulting from negligent or improper conduct by you or anyone under your care.
Lost or damaged equipment must be compensated according to the price list below, regardless of the item’s age or usage:
Paddle: loss, bending, breaking, cracking – 350 PLN each
Life vest: tearing, burning, loss – 250 PLN each
Dry bag: tearing, burning, loss – 60 PLN each
Nylon spray skirt: tearing, burning, loss – 260 PLN each
By booking, you confirm that your health allows you to safely participate in the tour.
If you have a condition that requires special care or accommodations, please inform us before booking.
General rules whilst kayaking
Do not move away from the group alone.
Always stay within hearing distance of the guide.
Always follow your guides instructions.

Safety and Risks
Your safety is our priority. We provide a short safety briefing before each tour, and our guides are experienced and certified. Still, kayaking – like any water activity – involves certain risks:
Capsizing and falling into water / drowning – You must wear a fastened life vest at all times.
Cold water / hypothermia – Bring a dry change of clothes. We provide dry suits for Winter Tours
Physical fatigue / dehydration – Kayaking is a physical activity. Bring drinking water.
Bruises and scratches – Our guide carries a first aid kit and is trained in first aid.
Sunstroke – we recommend using a sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, especially on sunny days
Personal Data
Personal data collected during booking is processed in accordance with applicable law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For details, see our Privacy Policy available on the website.
You also agree that we may contact you after the tour regarding operational matters related to your participation, such as follow-up communication or sharing potential photo materials from the trip. This is not a guarantee that photos will be taken or delivered.
Final Provisions
We reserve the right to change these Terms of Service. The new version will be published on the website and will take effect immediately upon publication.
