MEETING PLACE: Gdansk city center or shipyard area
Galar is a type of old polish river boat. It was used for one-time transport of goods (including salt, lime, zinc, soap, grain) downstream mainly from Upper Vistula. It could carry 25 tons of goods. Today we will use galley boats for slightly different purposes.
Gdansk is quite uniquely located at the crossroads of sea and river routes, waterways of the Vistula river at the Baltic estuary, as well as the Radunia and Motlawa rivers. Water was the important element of the city’s life. It is important today to show Gdansk through its relation to water.
Galley boat tour gives a different perspective on the historical value of the Main City. You can seat comfortable and enjoy amazing views.
